About This Collection
There are eight prints here, and they fall naturally into three small groups.
Garden scenes. The Morning Garden Bench Print, the Monet Morning Garden Reading Print and the Monet Summer in Normandy Print are the most classically Impressionist of the set: broken brushwork, garden light and the sense that someone has just stepped out of the picture to put the kettle on. Normandy is where Monet spent much of his life and made his garden at Giverny, so the setting is a fitting one.
Flowers and water. The Monet Hydrangea Print gives a garden favourite the loose Impressionist treatment, and the Monet Duck Pond Print puts ducks on the kind of water Monet returned to again and again.
Cats and interiors. The Monet Morning Light Cat Print and the Ginger Cat by the Window Print bring cats into the scene, for anyone who thinks a garden is improved by one. The Monet Bedroom Wall Art print completes the set, made with the bedroom in mind.
If you like the painted style, the painting prints collection has more in a similar vein, and the floral prints collection has plenty of other blooms.
What rooms suit Monet prints?
Bedrooms are a natural fit. The soft palettes and gentle subjects suit a room built for winding down, and the Monet Bedroom and garden reading prints look particularly at home above a bed.
Living rooms suit the garden scenes at A2 or A1, where the brushwork has room to breathe and the greens bring a bit of the outdoors in.
Reading corners and home offices suit the cat prints, which have the settled, unhurried mood of someone who has nowhere else to be.
For gallery walls, Monet prints mix well with vintage prints and botanical prints, which share the same soft, natural palette.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are these reproductions of Monet paintings?
No. These are new artworks painted in a Monet-inspired Impressionist style rather than copies of his paintings, which is why a ginger cat can sit by the window in one of them. If you've been looking for Monet posters with a slightly more personal subject, that's the idea.
Are Monet prints good gifts?
Yes, particularly for gardeners, readers and cat lovers. The cat prints make a thoughtful gift for anyone who likes Impressionist art and has a cat who spends the morning in a sunny spot, while the hydrangea and garden prints suit anyone who would rather be in their garden than anywhere else.
Do the Monet prints work as a set?
Very well. All eight are painted in the same soft Impressionist style, so any two or three hang together naturally, and a framed Monet print trio above a sofa or bed is an easy win. Buy 2, save 10%; buy 3, save 15% is applied automatically at checkout.
What sizes are available?
Most prints are available in sizes from 5x7 up to A1, with both metric and US paper sizes. Full size options are shown on each individual product page. For bedrooms and reading corners, A3 and A4 keep the scenes intimate, while A2 and A1 suit the garden prints in a living room.
Can all prints be ordered framed?
Yes. All prints can be ordered framed. We're rolling framed options out across the site, so individual listings will show whether a framed version is currently available. If you'd like a framed version of a print that doesn't yet have that option listed, get in touch and we'll sort it for you.
What is the print quality like?
Prints are produced on FSC-certified 200gsm fine art paper using a 12-colour press with a matte, glare-free finish. The matte finish suits Impressionist work in particular, keeping soft greens and garden colours gentle rather than glossy.
