Description

This dachshund print shows a long-bodied dachshund walking nose-first through drifting snow, a red scarf trailing out behind it against a deep teal-blue sky. The rust-brown body and cream ground are built up in textured, naive brushwork with visible paper grain, and the words 'long winter' are hand-lettered beneath in black ink. The folk art styling and the dry, wintry pun make it a good fit for a mudroom, hallway or nursery, especially in a home that already leans toward folk or farmhouse decor. It also makes a natural dachshund lover gift — for the friend whose sausage dog refuses to wear jumpers, or the one who already owns three scarves for theirs. It's available in multiple sizes, professionally printed on FSC-certified 200gsm fine art paper with a soft matte finish and rich, detailed colour, so the paper grain and the red scarf both hold their texture at larger sizes. It's a cosy, slightly funny addition for anyone who already has a dachshund in their life.

This print is gorgeous. I had originally planned to hang it elsewhere, but it is so lovely that I made it the focal point of the living room. We ordered it framed and the frame is nice quality, too.

Exactly as described and arrived quickly. I misjudged the sizing a bit, so there is no white border on top, but that’s a me problem. I’m super happy with my purchase regardless and would absolutely buy from this store again. Very high quality print.
