Description

This rubber duck great wave print puts a small yellow rubber duck on top of a towering indigo wave, reworking Hokusai's famous wave composition as a bathtub scene complete with a pair of chrome taps in the background. The palette stays close to the original woodblock print style — deep indigo, white foam, cream paper tone — with just the one bright spot of yellow breaking up all that blue. It works well in a bathroom or powder room that could do with a joke on the wall, and suits anyone who likes their Japanese art with a sense of humour — ukiyo-e fans, duck collectors, or whoever just moved into a flat with a slightly too-small bathtub. It's available in multiple sizes, professionally printed on FSC-certified 200gsm fine art paper with a soft matte finish and rich, detailed colour. Pick one up for the bath-time view, or wrap it for a friend who's just moved house and needs something funnier than a shower curtain.

This print is gorgeous. I had originally planned to hang it elsewhere, but it is so lovely that I made it the focal point of the living room. We ordered it framed and the frame is nice quality, too.

Customer photo review of Sleeping Cat Japanese Print

Exactly as described and arrived quickly. I misjudged the sizing a bit, so there is no white border on top, but that’s a me problem. I’m super happy with my purchase regardless and would absolutely buy from this store again. Very high quality print.
